A little bit about me...
Hi, my name is Jonathan Hammerschmidt and I am a photographer and videographer based out of Minnesota. Most of my photography focus goes towards weddings, portraits, and food & beverage. As far as my videography services go I offer wedding, promotional, and event videos. But that does not mean I won't take other photos or videos! I am for the most part a natural light photographer but I am fully capable of using flash as well.
As long as I can remember I have always wanted to do something for someone that makes them forget about the stresses of life. I found photography is the best way for me to do that for others. When I show a client their photo and their smile brightens up the room, that is why I do what I do.
I grew up in a rural town in Southern Minnesota about 80 miles south of the Twin Cities. While growing up I always had an interest in the arts. After realizing I could not draw or paint to save my life I decided to pick up a camera and here we are today.
I honed my skills at South Central College in Mankato MN in the Multimedia Technology. I have a wonderful and supportive girlfriend, Taylor, who some how puts up with me always being busy on weekends with a wedding or traveling. Taylor and I have a sassy chihuahua mix named Stella Rose who keeps us on our toes and everyday is an adventure with her.
